Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

A traffic stop is not a death sentence, and the civil rights lawyer in the tee filed the complaint after her client's brother was killed at one, and watched it go where the others went, which is nowhere. Pulled over should never mean killed. The deaths at the hands of immigration agents have a paper trail of complaints and almost no discipline. This tee is the complaint, refiled in public.

Wear it to the vigil, the city council session on enforcement agreements, the civil rights rally, the courthouse steps, and the family dinner where a relative says he should have complied. It is a strong gift for a civil rights lawyer, a legal observer, a family member at the vigil, and the friend who refiled.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a vigil. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the refiled-complaint entry in the immigrant rights collection.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

How is this different from a badge is not a license to shoot? That one is the principle. This one is the specific scene, the roadside, where it keeps failing.

Would a civil rights group order these for the vigil? Groups do. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do people pick? Black by a wide margin. White for the vigil.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the rally, the courthouse, the vigil, the neighborhood that looks out for its own.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
