Nobody ages out of being autistic, they age out of services, and that is a budget decision rather than a developmental milestone. "Autism does not end at eighteen" names the support cliff that arrives the moment a school district closes the file. This neurodiversity shirt features the message in soft, muted-rainbow retro lettering on a Comfort Colors garment-dyed tee. Wear it to the transition planning meeting, the disability rights rally, or the legislative advocacy day, and order a set for the whole self-advocacy group.
THE SHIRT
A Care & Resist original printed on a Comfort Colors 1717 garment-dyed t-shirt, 100% ring-spun cotton, 6.1 oz midweight, with a soft, broken-in vintage feel and a relaxed unisex fit. The full-color design is printed direct-to-garment (DTG), so the ink is printed into the fabric, not vinyl or heat-pressed: it stays smooth to the touch, won't crack, peel, or fade, and the garment-dyed color only softens with wear.
FIT & SIZING
This is a unisex, relaxed, true-to-size tee. For a roomier or oversized look, order one size up. Available in S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. Please carefully review the size chart in the last image before placing your order to be sure of your fit. We're a small, three-person family shop and every shirt is printed to order, so we aren't able to offer exchanges or returns for the wrong size. A quick look at the chart makes sure your shirt fits great the first time.
COLORS
Pick your garment-dyed shirt color from the dropdown. Each Comfort Colors shade is pigment-dyed for a rich, lived-in look, and the full-color print is made to suit the range.
WHO IT'S FOR
This is progressive political apparel for people who want to wear what they believe. It works as everyday activist and resistance wear, as a protest, march, or rally shirt, and as a meaningful gift for the activist, organizer, teacher, feminist, or proud liberal in your life. (The specific message and cause for this design are described above.)
CARE
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not bleach, and do not iron directly on the design. This keeps both the DTG print and the garment-dyed color looking great for years.
MADE TO ORDER
Every Care & Resist shirt is printed to order, just for you, in the USA.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Care & Resist is a values-driven, progressive apparel brand: we believe science is real, Black Lives Matter, no human is illegal, love is love, women's rights are human rights, and kindness matters.
RETURNS
Because each shirt is made to order, we accept returns or exchanges only for a manufacturing defect or a wrong or damaged item. If anything isn't right, message us and we'll make it right.

Printing and care
Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Size and Fit Guide
Our unisex t-shirts are printed on the Comfort Colors 1717, a heavyweight garment-dyed tee with a relaxed, slightly oversized cut. It runs true to size for that relaxed fit: if you wear a Medium in most unisex tees, order a Medium. For a closer fit go one size down; for fully oversized go up two. Our model wears a Medium for a relaxed fit and an XL for oversized.
Comfort Colors 1717 t-shirt size chart
| Size | Body width | Body length | Sleeve length |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 18 1/2 | 27 | 8 |
| M | 20 1/2 | 28 1/2 | 8 1/4 |
| L | 22 1/2 | 30 | 9 |
| XL | 24 1/2 | 31 1/2 | 9 1/2 |
| 2XL | 26 1/2 | 32 3/4 | 9 3/4 |
| 3XL | 28 | 33 | 9 3/4 |
| 4XL | 30 | 34 | 10 |
Body width is measured flat, armpit to armpit. Body length is from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem. Lay a tee you already love flat, measure it the same way, and match the numbers.
How the fit feels
Comfort Colors cuts a boxy, relaxed unisex shape with a slightly dropped shoulder. The 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton has real weight to it, so the shirt drapes rather than clings, and the garment-dyed finish gives it a broken-in feel from the first wear. Expect minimal shrinkage if you wash cold and dry low; hot water and high heat can take up to half an inch off the length.
Sizing for women
These are unisex sizes. Most women take their usual size for a relaxed fit or one size down for a closer fit. For the cropped, boxy tee look, size up one or two and knot or tuck it.

Both are 8 oz, 50/50 cotton and polyester, unisex, with the same relaxed cut as the tees. Order your usual size for a relaxed fit, or go up two sizes for oversized.
