Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

I did not agree to be training data, and the photographer in the tee found out the way everyone does: nobody sent a form, nobody offered a fee, and the terms updated quietly on a Tuesday. The writing, the art, the photographs, the voice, and the forum post from 2014 all went into the pile. This tee is the consent form, filled out after the fact, with the box left empty.

Wear it to the photography meetup, the copyright hearing, the artist collective meeting, the platform's user conference, and the family dinner where a relative says you agreed to the terms. It is a strong gift for a photographer, a writer, a voice actor, and the friend who read the Tuesday update.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a photography meetup. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the empty-box entry on our book bans and libraries page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

Is this the same as you scanned my book without asking? That one is books. This one is everything else: photos, voice, the forum post from 2014.

Would an artist collective order these for the hearing? Collectives do. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do people pick? Black and Graphite. Ivory for the meetup.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the library board meeting, Banned Books Week, storytime, the bookstore.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
