Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

Librarians are not the enemy. They are people on a public salary who help a stranger find a job listing, a tax form, a warm chair and a book somebody else wants pulled from the shelf, and the patron in the tee watched the one at her branch get called a villain at a board meeting. Turning them into villains was a choice, and a strange one. This tee is on their side.

Wear it to the library board meeting, the challenge hearing, National Library Week, the bookstore, and the family dinner where a relative repeats the villain line. It is a warm gift for a patron, a librarian, a library trustee who spoke up, and the friend who found the tax form there.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a board meeting where the villain line got used. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the on-their-side entry on our book bans and libraries page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.
