Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

We are not your wedge issue. Every election year someone rediscovers that queer and trans people make a useful scare, good for a mailer, a debate zinger and a bill filed mostly for the evening news. The people on the receiving end of that strategy are not a talking point. They are coworkers, kids, parents and neighbors with actual lives on the line.

What should you wear to a trans rights rally at the capitol? This makes the point fast. Wear it to the committee hearing where strangers debate your healthcare, to the Pride picnic in the park, and to the candidate forum where you plan to ask a pointed question from the second row.

It is printed on a Comfort Colors 1717, 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed, 6.1 oz, a tee made for long days in hearing rooms with bad air conditioning. The print is direct-to-garment and goes into the fabric, so it stays soft and does not crack or peel, however many campaigns try the same move.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size, S through 4XL, in Black, White, Bay, Blossom, Chambray, Graphite, Ivory or Banana for hearing rooms and parade routes. More trans rights and pride shirts are gathered on our LGBTQ rights and pride page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

What does we are not your wedge issue mean? A wedge issue is a topic politicians use to split voters. The shirt says LGBTQ people are human beings, not a tool for driving turnout.

Is the wedge issue shirt about trans rights? It fits trans rights especially well, since trans people are a common campaign target, and it speaks for the whole LGBTQ community too.

Is the not your wedge issue tee okay for an ally to wear? Yes. An ally wearing it says they refuse to be recruited by fear campaigns, which is a strong message to carry into any room.

Can a Pride committee order wedge issue shirts in bulk? Yes. They are made to order, and one checkout can mix all sizes and shades for a Pride committee, a PFLAG chapter or a campus group.

Wear it to: the parade, the school board meeting, the family dinner, every day of June.
