Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

We cook for each other. Somebody makes too much on purpose, somebody drops a tray at a door, somebody keeps a list of who has a new baby and who just got out of the hospital, and the person in the tee is all three on the same week. It is the oldest form of organizing there is and it has never once required a grant. This tee is for the people with the containers.

Wear it to the kitchen on tray day, the porch drop-off, the meal train sign-up, the church potluck, and the family dinner where a relative asks why you cook for strangers. It is a warm gift for a meal train cook, a church kitchen regular, a new parent who got the tray, and the friend with the containers.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a kitchen on tray day. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the container entry on our mutual aid and solidarity page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

How is this different from the casserole brigade? That one is about the foil pan arriving. This one is about the kitchen it came from.

Would a meal train crew order these? Crews do. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do cooks pick? Ivory and Bay. Blossom for the potluck.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the mutual aid drop-off, the block party, the picket line, the church basement.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
