Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

You can parent your kid not mine. Deciding what your own child reads is parenting, and deciding what every child in the district reads is something else with a nicer name on the agenda, and the parent in the tee watched one family's comfort level get proposed as the curriculum last month. This tee draws the line at your own front door.

Wear it to the school board meeting, the curriculum committee, the PTA, the bookstore, and the family dinner where a relative explains what your kid should not read. It is a sharp gift for a parent, a teacher, a school librarian, and the friend who spoke after the complaint.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a curriculum committee. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the front-door entry on our book bans and libraries page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.
