Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

Curb cuts help everyone. The ramp built for wheelchairs also helps strollers, delivery carts and tired travelers with rolling bags, and the civil engineer in the tee designed a downtown's worth of curb cuts for wheelchair access and now counts more strollers and hand trucks on them than chairs. Naming the curb-cut effect is the shirt. This tee names it.

Wear it to the city planning meeting, the accessibility audit, the public works conference, the sidewalk ribbon cutting, and the family dinner where a relative says the ramps cost too much for so few people. It is a strong gift for a civil engineer, an accessibility consultant, a parent with a stroller, and the friend who counted the hand trucks.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and four words that read across a public works conference. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the hand-truck entry on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

How does this compare to accessibility helps everyone? Cousins, almost twins. That one is the general claim; this one is the specific ramp the claim is named after.

Would a public works department order these for the conference? Departments do. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do people pick? Bay and Graphite. Ivory for the ribbon cutting.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.
