Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

Home is not an institution. Disabled people belong in their own homes, not warehoused in facilities, and the home care aide in the tee is the reason four of her clients still have their own kitchens. Community living runs on funded hours, and every cut to those hours is a bed somewhere else. This tee backs the hours.

Wear it to the home care rally, the state house hearing on waiver funding, the direct support professional appreciation event, the independent living center, and the family dinner where a relative says a facility would be easier. It is a strong gift for a home care aide, a disabled adult at home, a home care agency director, and the friend who covers the extra shift.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a direct support professional appreciation event. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the funded-hours entry on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

Is this the same as my home is not a facility? Same principle from the aide's side. That one is the person at home; this one is the worker who makes it possible.

Would a home care agency order these for the rally? Agencies do. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do aides pick? Bay and Black. White for the rally.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
