Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

My chair is not baggage. The chair is the thing she stands up in, gets to work in and lives an entire day inside, and the wheelchair user in the tee got it back from the cargo hold bent and was offered a lost-bag form, which is a body left on the jet bridge and not a bag. Airlines break thousands a year. This tee says what the chair is.

Wear it through the airport, to the Department of Transportation comment hearing, the disability rights rally, the travel conference, and the family dinner where a relative says just check it. It is a strong gift for a wheelchair user, a travel companion, a disability rights lawyer, and the friend who filed the complaint.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read at chair height across a gate area. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the jet bridge entry on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

How many chairs do airlines break? Thousands a year, by the airlines' own reports. The rule that would fix it keeps sliding.

Would a travel group order these? Groups do, for the hearing. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color reads at a gate? White and Ivory. Black for the hearing.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
