Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

My life is not up for review. Protections decided decades ago are being reopened one memo at a time, and the people whose home and hours depend on the answer were never consulted, and the person in the tee found out from a form letter. An opinion drafted at a desk turns into a moving van in somebody's driveway. This tee refuses the review.

Wear it to the legislative hearing, the Medicaid office, the disability rights rally, the state house call-in day, and the family dinner where a relative says the program needs reform. It is a strong gift for a disabled friend, a home care advocate, a disability lawyer, and the person who got the form letter.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a legislative hearing. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the form-letter entry on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

Which rights are being reopened? Home and community services, mostly, through guidance rather than law. The person wearing it has the letter.

Would an advocacy group order these for the hearing? Groups do. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do people pick? Black and Chambray. White for the rally.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
