Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

We are not a charity case. Disabled people are asking for the job, the raise and the promotion, and the answer keeps arriving as a hardship program instead of a paycheck, which the applicant in the tee has now received twice from the same company. Nobody builds a career out of somebody else's pity. This tee asks for the work, not the sympathy.

Wear it to the job fair, the HR meeting, the disability employment conference, the union hall, and the family dinner where a relative says there are programs for that. It is a strong gift for a disabled worker, a vocational counselor who gets it, an employment lawyer, and the friend who hired you for the work.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and three lines that read across a job fair floor. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the paycheck entry on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

Is this shirt against disability programs? It is against a program being offered in place of a paycheck. The worker wearing it wants the job.

Would a disability employment group order these? Groups do, for the conference. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do workers pick? Black and Chambray. Ivory for the conference.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
