Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

We get a say. Policy about disabled people keeps getting written in rooms that hold none, then announced as if somebody had been consulted, and the advocate in the tee has asked for the attendance list more than once. The expertise is right there and nobody sent it an invitation. This tee is the invitation, self-issued.

Wear it to the advisory board meeting, the city council session, the accessibility review, the disability pride march, and the family dinner where a relative explains what disabled people need. It is a strong gift for a disabled advocate, an independent living center staffer, a policy analyst, and the friend who asked for the attendance list.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and four words that read across a city council session. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It is the attendance-list entry on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

Is this the nothing about us without us shirt? Same principle, four plainer words. The advocate wearing it uses both.

Would an independent living center order these? Centers do, for the board meeting. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do advocates pick? Black and Bay. Blossom for the march.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
