Unisex with a relaxed cut, true to size, S to 4XL. Garment-dyed heavyweight tee.

We outlast administrations. The guidance got withdrawn, the enforcement office stopped answering, and the appointee who pulled the memo will be gone in three years, and the disabled person in the tee will still be here, as they were for the last four. This tee is for that person, and for the fifth administration.

Wear it to the rally outside the agency, the disability pride march, the advocacy meeting on the withdrawn guidance, and the family dinner where a relative says the rights are gone now. It is a strong gift for a disability rights lawyer, a long-time advocate, a self-advocate, and the friend who has seen four of them.

The tee is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed in 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, soft and evenly colored, with a heavier hand than a novelty tee and two lines that read across a federal plaza. Direct-to-garment. It bonds with the cotton.

Unisex, relaxed, true to size. S through 4XL. Colors: Black, White, Bay, Blossom. Also Chambray, Graphite, Ivory, Banana. It belongs with the endurance designs on our disability rights page.

Designed and printed to order in the USA. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron the design.

Common questions

Do the rights survive a withdrawn memo? The rights come from the statute. The memo was one office's way of enforcing it, and the people outlast the office.

Would an advocacy group order these? Groups do, for the rally. Every shirt is printed to order. Any mix of sizes, one order.

Which color do people pick? Black by a wide margin. Bay for the march.

How does the 1717 fit? True to size, relaxed body. Order your usual.

Wear it to: the hearing, the clinic, Disability Pride Month in July, the parking lot where someone took your spot.

Fabric and fit

Comfort Colors 1717: 6.1 oz 100 percent ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed and soft-washed so it feels broken in from the first wear. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 4XL in eight colors. Double-needle stitching, no side seams, sewn-in label.

Measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

Printing and care

Printed to order in the USA, direct to garment: water-based ink goes into the fabric rather than sitting on top, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel.

Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print. More on the fabric and care page.

Shipping and returns

Every shirt is made when you order it and ships from the USA. Current production and delivery times, and how returns work, are on the shipping and returns page. Ordering for a group? See group and bulk orders.
